Listening to Krishna’s Story is the Best Means of Reforming Life...

DHAR: Listening to the divine life and teachings of Lord Krishna is one of the best means of bringing positive transformation into one’s life, said Acharya Shri Krishna Kumarji Shastri during the ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha organized by the Bisa Neema Samaj.

Speaking from the Vyas Peeth, Shastri said that after Lord Vaman measured the entire universe in two steps, King Bali offered his head for the third step. Pleased with Bali’s devotion and surrender, Lord Vaman blessed him with the opportunity to attain the position of Indra in a future Manvantara.

Shastri further narrated the lineage of great kings, beginning with the Putreshti Yajna performed by Manu, which led to the birth of the illustrious King Ambarish. This lineage later produced renowned rulers such as Mandhata, Harishchandra, Sagar, Bhagirath, Raghu, Aja and Dasharath. Lord Shri Ram, revered as Maryada Purushottam, was born to King Dasharath.

He said that Lakshman symbolizes duty, Bharat sacrifice, Shatrughna service, Sita strength and Hanuman unwavering devotion.

During the discourse, Shastri emphasized that devotion through listening and chanting the name of Hari can lead to spiritual upliftment. He said that for human beings, listening to the story of Lord Krishna is among the finest means of improving life. “Krishna, in the form of the soul, resides in our hearts. When Krishna leaves the chariot of the body, the body loses its significance,” he explained.

He also explained the spiritual significance of the names associated with Lord Krishna’s parents and foster mother, saying that a person with a pure mind is like Vasudeva, one whose disposition is divine is like Devaki, and one who brings honour and glory to others embodies the qualities of Yashoda.

The narration of the birth of Bal Krishna filled the entire Katha pandal with devotion and spiritual fervour.

The worship and ceremonial offering at the Vyas Peeth on the day was performed by the Ghanshyam Gupta and Jagdish Gupta families. Society president Raju Gupta ND, Rajesh Mahajan, Anil Gupta, Mukesh Gupta and Raman Neema have been extending valuable support in organizing the event.

The information was provided by Santosh Mahajan.
